Dubbing Scriptwriter
Änne Troester writes dubbing scripts for films and series. This means that for every character, she fashions a twin that resembles the original character in all things – except for the language they speak.
And since the best dub is a dub no one notices, another way of describing her work is that she’s trying very hard to disappear. Then again, she does like to stay in the cinema until the popcorn is being vacuumed out from under her seat in order to see the dubbing card, and her name on the screen, at the very end of the credits.
Änne specializes in stories from the US or the UK, but has also written dubbing scripts for films from Argentina, Norway, India, Japan, or Italy. A certified wimp, she tries to stay away from horror, but otherwise, every genre is welcome. Änne is a proud and active member of the industry association Synchronverband e.V. – Die Gilde and of the dubbing scriptwriters and directors association Bundesverband Synchronregie und Dialogbuch.
